Overview

Inundation events are among the most frequent, costly, and deadly coastal hazards in the U.S. Shallow coastal flooding occurs in low-lying coastal areas during extreme high tides, but sea level rise, coastal storms, or even relatively weak winds or rain can greatly increase flood levels and frequency. This module outlines the threats and ways communities can prepare.
