Overview
A research team identified areas where climate change impacts have the potential to create economic, ecological, and social and cultural effects across two or more state boundaries. Representatives from Rutgers University, Georgetown Climate Center, and Monmouth University worked with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean’s Climate Change Adaptation Team to provide a focused analysis of climate change and four priority assets—beaches, nearshore habitat, offshore habitat, and marine terminals, including
- Climate stressors and dynamics most likely to affect the asset,
- Impacts that may result from those effects, and
- Examples of current efforts in each state to adapt to changing climate.
