Restoration and Protection of Coastal Wetlands in Village of Kotlik, Alaska

This award will restore coastal wetlands in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta to protect the rearing habitat of 44 species of fish and 60 species of bird. The project will avert contamination of the Kotlik River and Little Kotlik Rivers, prevent structures from eroding into the river, and protect the Village of Kotlik's Yupik Alaska Native population's right to cultural practices and subsistence lifestyles.
